CREDAI NCR WESTERN UP is the Western UP Chapter of CREDAI NCR covering NCR part of Western UP and all the leading developers of the region are its member. The members of CREDAI NCR WESTERN UP have over the years contributed immensely to the development of WESTERN UP.

All members follow the CREDAI Code of Conduct and respect their customers. The complaints of consumers associated with member developers are successfully resolved at CREDAI NCR’s Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum.

FUNCTIONS of Credai NCR (Western U.P)

The major function of CREDAI NCR (Western U.P) is media interface / interaction on behalf of Real Estate Industry in Western U.P region and to act as a bridge between the member Developers and the Government so that issues faced by the Real Estate member Developers on daily basis could be taken-up with the Government. Secondly, the key members / Office Bearers, CREDAI NCR (Western U.P) helps the Government in finalizing the policy documents by submitting required inputs on different bills etc. related to Real Estate Industry. Thirdly, it provides a platform to Real Estate Developers wherein every member developer gets support of a peer group which is committed to working in the interests of the real estate industry as a whole, by which different issues of each and every individual member developer ranging from taxation to policy gets addressed. Fourthly, News related to Real Estate of the Country is being disseminated among member developers on daily basis.

CODE OF CONDUCT

CREDAI also has a common Code of Conduct which is being followed by all its members. This Code of Conduct was earlier drafted with an ultimate aim of transparency between Member Developers / Builders and their respective Customers.

The fundamental objectives of the said Code of Conduct are as follows:

(i) To promote the high standard of real estate development and construction activities so as to promote transparency in system;

(ii) To maintain the honor and dignity of Developers in general and to secure a spirit of friendly co-operation between the Developers and their customers;

(iii) To establish honorable and fair dealing of the Developers with their customers;

(iv) To promote brotherhood amongst the members of the Association;

(v) To ensure that Developers discharge their responsibilities to the Society in a fair, transparent and efficient manner.

For the aforesaid objectives the members of the CREDAI NCR (Western U.P) have adopted the common Code of Conduct, both in letter and spirit.

CONSUMER GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL FORUM

The complaints of consumers associated with member developers of CREDAI are successfully resolved at CREDAI's Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum. The Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum has been enacted to provide better protection to the interests of customers connected with the "member real-estate developers - CREDAI NCR (Western U.P)" and for that purpose to make provision for the establishment of authorities for the settlement of customer's dispute and other related matters.Apart from above, the Consumer Redressal Forum of CREDAI NCR (Western U.P) has proved to be an effective method to standardize and regulate the working of real estate developers. Having succeeded in its mission to align the faith of consumers with the member builders, Consumer Redressal Forum continues to take up the case against any unfair practices and improve the image of real estate developer in terms of standards of delivery vis-a-vis commitments among present and prospective buyers, the government and the media.

The mechanism consists of the respective developer downloading the complaint lodged by the buyer from the website and submitting the number of days that will be needed for resolution of the complaint ranging from 7 to 45 days depending on the nature of the complaint. The developer is expected to adopt standard procedures, protect buyer's interest and embrace transparent practices.

Provision has been made for experienced developers legal and Technical experts to facilitate such resolutions. The panel consists of Retired Justice, technical experts and legal advisers.

Having succeeded in its mission to align the faith of consumers with the member builders, Consumer Redressal Forum continues to take up the case of grievances and implement self regulation of the Industry in terms of standards of delivery vis-a-vis commitments among present and prospective buyers, the government and the media.
